I can’t count the number of qualitative researches I’ve taken part to, from 2000 till today… hundreds. However, for sure these are the ones I loved the most, for different reasons (scroll the mouse in order to navigate through all of them)
from 2008: WIRED Italy
For years, starting from the pre-test and the launching, I’ve taken part to Wired qualitative researches. I love technology: working with Riccardo Luna has been a real pleasure. I’ve been a subscriber for years, and I still have the precious Wired “number zero”… and of course, I was at the official Wired launching party, in Milan 🙂
2005-2008: Eurisko "NIGHTLIFE" panels
I have managed the multi-client panels about nightlife in Italy. Of course it was really funny having drinks (for free) while working… and being part of aperitifs, dancing clubs and events… with camera and audio recorders in my hands. Always with a colleague of mine!
2012: NBA basketball perception for Gazzetta
I have been a basketball player, in Florence, and I met Kobe Bryant playing in a camp in Cutigliano (he was just Joe Bryant’s son!). These focus groups weren’t really work, for me…
2003: FIAT perception for Eurisko
An overall research about feelings, perception and evaluation of Fiat brand. At the end of our research, during our debriefing, the news arrived: Gianni Agnelli died. So we immediately started with a phase 2: Fiat perception after Gianni Agnelli’s death
2007: Ferrari.com in the US
My first experience in the US: a 5 days long research between Los Angeles and New York: a totally different way of working, but also an interesting overview about Ferrari cars owners and prospects. Cool!
2008: new Juventus stadium
As a Fiorentina supporter, moderating focus groups with Juventus fans was a sort of shock! I still remember when some of them were speaking about the best moments in Juventus history, of course the ones connected to epic winning matches against my favorite team…
2011: Google + perception for Google Italy
A really interesting analysis about G+ through a mixed methodology: a forum/community on G+ (1 month long) and then some hangouts as an in-depth analysis. Part of the online community was managed from Thailand beaches, during Christmas… wow!
2009: a research about online dating
I had many interviews about the perception of dating online: can’t forget incredibile stories linked to erotic encounters, casual affairs, VIP prostitutes, elopements abroad… that kind of research where outcomes are not taken for granted!
